License Restoration in California
Has Your Driver's License Been Suspended?
If you have been convicted of DUI charges, there are many penalties you could face. In addition to any immediate criminal penalties which are tacked onto your charge, you could also have your driver's license suspended. This is true of all DUI cases, even first time offenses.
If you are currently struggling to manage without a driver's license, you may be able to take action to restore your license. At the Law Offices of Scott R. Spindel, our Los Angeles DUI attorney is prepared to represent you in any upcoming hearings.
Representation in Administrative DMV Hearings
When a DUI arrest is made, law enforcement typically confiscates your license right away. You may be issued a 10 day license to allow you to request a hearing and get to your hearing. With more than 15 years of experience representing DUI cases, we have successfully fought for many of our clients' licenses.
We are familiar with the way local courts handle administrative DMV hearings, working hard for our clients to restore their licenses. During administrative DMV hearings, we work to prove that your charges were contestable and/or that there is a pressing reason for you to have your license restored.
In order to restore your license, you may have to do the following:
- Pay fines to the court, as well as a reissuance fee
- Stay off the road during your suspension period
- Show proof of auto insurance
- Follow the terms of your criminal conviction
- Go through a DUI program and show completion form
